Kyrene School District is now providing free meals for all children, regardless of income or eligibility. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) will cover the cost of breakfast and lunch at no expense to families or to the District, through December 31, 2020.
Meals will be served on school days to all children, ages 18 and under. In-person students will receive meals on our campus, while Flex families can pick up meals on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Kyrene District Office, at 8700 S. Kyrene Rd. in Tempe, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Parents and guardians may pick up the meals. Children do not need to be present.
If you have already put money into your child’s account for lunches, all balances will remain on the account until paid food services resume in January. While students will not be charged for meals at this time, they may purchase a la carte items which will impact account balances.
