Kyrene Middle School in Tempe is an exciting place!

 
 
 
We provide a well-rounded educational experiences for all students. This includes computer science fine arts, physical education, visual arts, theatre, Spanish, clubs, sports, and other academic extracurricular activities.
 
We are home to the College Preparatory Program, Dual Language Program and we are an International Baccalaureate (IB) authorized school.
  • Our College Preparatory Program is an accelerated 6-8th grade strategic grouping of academically talented students in the four core areas of Math, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies. We provide advanced curriculum in math and language arts along with accelerated, in depth learning in social studies and science.
  • Our Dual Language program supports students who have been part of our elementary dual language program. Social Studies, Science and Spanish are taught in Spanish created a 60-40 model for immersion instruction. As students matriculate to the 8th grade they will participate in a community project and have an opportunity for travel to a Spanish speaking country.   • International Baccalaureate® mission aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
  • An IB program aims to develop internationally-minded learners, working within a global context and explores significant content.  Students have been learning through the methodologies of IB beginning with the 2017-18 school year.

The Middle Years Program (grades 6-8) is a challenging framework that encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world culminating in a personal project.
