Kyrene Leads Arizona in 2023 PBISAZ Achievement Awards

Kyrene Schools account for 24% of the 76 Arizona schools being awarded Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) awards this year from PBISAZ. This year, 18 Kyrene Schools have been recognized for their hard work installing and sustaining PBIS to improve the academic and behavioral outcomes for students.

The award recognizes a school’s dedication and commitment to improving student outcomes using consistent PBIS initiatives on campus. The schools receiving the awards are:

Level 1 – Installing

Level 2 – Tier 1 Fidelity

• Kyrene del Cielo Elementary School

• Kyrene del Pueblo Middle School
• Kyrene de la Sierra Elementary School
• Kyrene Traditional Academy

Level 3 – Tiers 1 & 2 Fidelity

• Kyrene Aprende Middle School
• Kyrene Altadeña Middle School
• Kyrene de las Brisas Elementary School
• Kyrene de la Esperanza Elementary School
• Kyrene de las Lomas Elementary School
• Kyrene de la Mariposa Computer Science Academy
• Kyrene del Milenio Elementary School
• Kyrene de la Paloma Arts Integration Academy
• C.I Waggoner Elementary School

This recognition highlights Kyrene’s dedication to creating and sustaining school-wide systems of support that improve learning and ensure all students are successful socially, emotionally and academically.

Awards will be presented during the annual Behavior Education Technology Conference on November 9, 2023, at the Desert Willow Conference Center in Phoenix.
