Introducing Online Enrollment
Kyrene School District is excited to announce the launch of online enrollment for both new and current families, starting with the 2019-20 school year. Current and returning families will register through ParentVUE. Families who have not activated their ParentVUE account must do so before registering. Call the school prior to beginning this process to secure an individualized activation key. New families will visit Enroll Online.
The online registration portal will give parents and guardians the flexibility to upload registration documents and enroll students from the comfort of home.
Kyrene Board Policy JFB and its regulation JFB-R govern the open enrollment program as set forth in A.R.S. §15-816 et seq. More detailed information about eligibility and acceptance may be found in our policy manual which is located online at www.kyrene.org/boardpolicy.
Families interested in enrolling children in a school outside their home school boundaries are welcome to select their school of choice through the online enrollment portal. Open enrollment application is flagged by family address. Open enrollment must be approved before registration is considered final.
School Attendance Areas
Students are assigned to a home school according to their street address. To find which school your child will attend, enter your address into our E-Link system. This system will identify your home school, and whether your child walks or rides a bus. A complete list of school locations and boundary maps are also available for your review.
Documents Required to Finalize Registration
After a child's application has been reviewed, families will be contacted and requested to provide additonal materials to finalzie registration. Until July 17, 2019, families can complete this step by visiting the District Office. After July 17, families should visit the school of enrollment. (Registration Hours) Go to the school in your neighborhood, or the school you’ve been accepted to through the open enrollment process, and bring this completed packet of registration paperwork along with the following items that are required, to complete your registration:
- Child's original or certified birth certificate
- Immunization records
- Proof of residency (e.g., current utility bill, lease agreement, contract on house)
- Photo I.D. (of parent/guardian)
- Records from previous school that are helpful for determining class placement (e.g., report cards, test scores, gifted education placement scores, special education records - IEP and MET, etc)
