Important Summer and Back To School Information

Thank you Cerritos students, staff, and families for another amazing year!  Cerritos staff wishes all of you a safe, relaxing, and fun summer!

 Important Summer and Back To School Information:

• Kyrene District Summer Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. Varied hours in the month of July.  Telephone: 480-541-1000.  Please visit the Kyrene website for information about student registration, withdrawals, after-school childcare, and enrichment class information.
• Want to get involved with the PTO and help with Back To School events? Contact the volunteer coordinator at volunteer@cerritospto.org or the president at president@cerritospto.org.
• School Supplies:  Click here to view the lists on our school website.
• Back to School- Meet The Teacher Night: Mark your calendars!  Meet the Teacher Night will be Monday, July 17th from 5-6:30. Families with a last name beginning with A-M will attend from 5-5:45 pm and families with a last name beginning with N-Z will attend from 5:45-6:30 pm.  If you are unable to attend at your scheduled time, you may attend at a different time.
• Transportation/Bus Routes: Please check out kyrene.org/transportation near the end of July to determine your child’s bus stop for the 2022-2023 school year.
• School Hours for 2023-24: The regular school day starts at 7:30 a.m. and ends (Mon/Tue/Thurs/Fri) at 2:15 p.m. and on Wednesdays at 12:15 p.m. Students are allowed on campus any time after 7:00 a.m. when supervision begins. The first bell rings at 7:25 a.m. and students are considered tardy when the second bell rings at 7:30 a.m. 
• First Day of School: Wednesday, July 19th at 7:30 a.m. 
• Curriculum Nights: Dates and details will be sent out after school starts.
