Three Kyrene schools have been awarded the 2026 Arizona Educational Foundation (AEF) A+ School of Excellence^TM award. All three Kyrene schools that sought A+ recognition this year were successful in their bids for the coveted award. Fifteen Kyrene schools now hold an A+ recognition.

Kyrene 2026 A+ Schools of Excellence™:

• Kyrene de los Lagos Dual Language Academy
• Kyrene del Norte Dual Language Academy
• Kyrene del Pueblo Middle School

This is the first time that Kyrene del Norte has been awarded the A+ recognition. Kyrene de los Lagos was previously recognized as an A+ School of Excellence in 2017 and Kyrene del Pueblo was previously recognized in 2015.

Schools applying for this recognition take part in a rigorous process that includes a written application, on-site visits by a team of trained judges and participation by faculty, students and families. Schools are evaluated in areas such as school culture, curriculum, leadership, assessment data and community involvement.
