Special Education 101 with Raising Special Kids (RSK)
Join Raising Special Kids and Kyrene ESS Department to learn about the special education process and the Individualized Education Program (IEP). Understand who is required to attend the IEP meeting and the roles of each team member (including parents); review the required parts of an IEP; learn how parents can prepare for and be more effective during the IEP meeting and how to track their child's progress. Discover the options available if the IEP team does not agree.

Be in the Know: Chemicals of Concern
Drugs have evolved over the decades. Youth use starts earlier with more potent chemicals like nicotine, THC, and opioids. Vaping is prevalent and fentanyl is killing people. Kids have access to it all. Anyone can fall into the use and life of addiction. In 2020, there were over 250 drug overdoses daily in the U.S. Let's work together to be knowledgeable or "in the know" and save lives. In this class you will learn about the facts, trends, signs of use, causes of death and resources for preventing and intervening.
