Preschool Registration & Handbook
Registering is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
Student enrollment in preschool programs is dependent upon the program having available capacity.
Step 1 - Find the Kyrene Preschool near your homeschool
Find a Kyrene Preschool Near You!
Considerations:
- Location
- Start and end times
- Your child's development
Requirements:
- Students must be 3 years of age
-
Per state statute, students are considered Kindergarten-eligible if they are 5 years old before September 1 of the current school year.
-
Students who will turn 6 during the school year (i.e., turning 6 before June 1) do not qualify for Kyrene Preschool and must enroll in Kindergarten.
-
Unless otherwise noted on an Individualized Education Program, students must have self-sufficient toileting skills (i.e., must be able to use the toilet consistently without frequent “accidents” in the child’s clothes or the use of diapers or pull-ups) before attending the program, regardless of when the registration contract is submitted and approved.*
Step 2 - Register your child in Arux
Arux Registration
Additional Details:
- Contracts will be approved no more than 30 days prior to the student’s third birthday
- Contracts will be approved based upon availability
- Contracts submitted during the annual registration window will only be approved if the student will be three within the first 30 calendar days from the first day of school
Step 3 - Register your child in ParentVue
Once your child's contract has been approved in Arux, families will be contacted and asked to register with Kyrene School District in ParentVue.
Final Steps:
After a student’s application has been approved, families will be contacted and requested to provide the following items to complete registration:
- Child's original or certified birth certificate
- Immunization records
- Proof of Residency Form / Shared Residence Form
- Photo I.D. (of parent/guardian)
*Children must have self-sufficient toileting skills unless otherwise noted on their Individualized Education Program (i.e., must be able to use the toilet consistently without frequent “accidents” in the child’s clothes or the use of diapers or pull-ups). Children who have frequent accidents may be administratively withdrawn from the program if frequency is such that it impacts program delivery.
