Middle School

Developing the leaders of tomorrow Kyrene middle schools empower students to explore their interests, build confidence, and prepare for high school success. With strong core instruction, a wide range of electives, and opportunities in athletics and leadership, students discover their strengths both inside and outside the classroom.

STEM Class

Course Options

  • Diverse exploratories & electives: Art, PE, world languages (Spanish), chorus, band, orchestra, STEM/multimedia, culinary arts, and advanced/gifted Choice Programs

  • Personalized learning pathways: Grade-level and advanced courses in Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies; high school math and Spanish for qualified students

  • Gifted & advanced opportunities: Offered at all middle schools, class placement based on test scores, teacher recommendations, and parent consultation

  • Strong transition support: 8th-grade programs, high school coordination, course registration guidance, and school visits

  • Leadership development: AVID, The Leader in Me, International Baccalaureate (IB), and WEB (Where Everybody Belongs)

  • Rich extracurricular opportunities: E-Sports, National Junior Honor Society, yearbook, band, theatre, debate, STEM clubs, and more

  • Athletics for all interests: Cut and non-cut sports, plus intramurals for every student and E-Sports

Community Education offers tuition-based opportunities both before and after the school day. Program activities are student-driven and may include the following:
