Lisa Dominski
Dear Parents and Students,
I am thrilled to be supporting the Pueblo Bulldogs this year as your school counselor!
A BIT ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Arizona. I interned at Kyrene's Del Norte Elementary School and Akimel A-el's Middle School while I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from ASU. After completing my student teaching in Costa Rica, I returned to Arizona and began my career as a teacher in the Madison School District for 9 years. While I loved teaching, my long term goal was always to be a counselor. Therefore, while teaching I continued my education and earned a Master's Degree in School Counseling from NAU. My counseling internship took place in Tempe Union High School District and Scottsdale Unified School District. I also gained more experience through volunteering counseling services (including the Children's Crisis Center and other various shelters) around the valley. This will be my fourth year as a counselor in Kyrene.
Being in education has allowed me the opportunity to travel the world. During the summers, I have volunteered at schools in Rwanda, Nepal and most recently in Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary. If I am not traveling abroad, you can find me camping, hiking, or training for marathons and triathlons around Arizona. I love being outdoors!
MY PASSION
I am passionate about providing quality guidance and support to Kyrene students. I am committed to providing a warm and safe environment for the students and will always strive to help them reach their fullest potential.
