Kyrene Positive Parenting Series
In March, 2018, Kyrene launched the first in the “Positive Parenting Series”. These presentations are geared toward providing parents, students and community members with valuable information related to a variety of topics such as how to identify risk behaviors, bullying, socio-emotional health of students, and suicide prevention. The first topic was "Kids Under the Influence—What Every Parent Needs to Know About the Often Hidden Impact of Screen Time and Social Media", presented by the Guiran Institute. The presentation was repeated again in May. In June, the District presented with local law enforcement on the topic of “Keeping Our Schools Safe” and addressed Kyrene’s efforts to ensure the safety and security of our schools, staff and students. These presentations will be scheduled throughout the 2019-20 school year.
