    I am so very proud to announce that we were recently notified by the Arizona Educational Foundation that Colina achieved the A+ School of Excellence ™ accreditation. This rigorous process was made possible because of our entire staff, students and community.

  • 3-Year STEM Roll-out at Colina

    The Colina STEM Teacher Team, in conjunction with input from the staff, developed a three year plan as a guide to increase inquiry based STEM instruction in the classroom. The goal of the plan is to provide teachers the time and opportunities for planning and implementing STEM learning successfully across the school.

  • Colina is pleased to bring PLAYWORKS to campus!

    Playworks partners with schools to design curriculum and activities that offer play opportunities during recess and lunch. Trained coaches work with schools to introduce games into the playground that are inclusive to everyone while teaching teamwork, conflict mediation, leadership skills and social skills. Thanks in part to a grant from the Abbett Family Foundation, we are thrilled to be bring Playworks to Colina and are pleased to be partnering with this amazing company.

  • Colina DISCOVERoom

    The DISCOVERoom, or DR, is a STEM based learning program that takes place during lunch recess. It is run by volunteers with support of donations and tax credit donation funds. The DR provides an opportunity for students to freely explore a variety of science and engineering concepts.

  • Colina WatchDOGS provide positive male role models for students

    Colina WatchDOGS volunteer WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) is an innovative father (father-figure) involvement, educational initiative of the National Center For Fathering. At Colina, we believe that having a positive role model on campus makes a big difference not only in your child's life, but that of other students. By simply being present and visible, WatchDOGS show all students that education is important while enhancing school security and reducing bullying.
