Kyrene Preschool Programs
For children 3 to 5 years, not yet eligible for Kindergarten
Kyrene provides many opportunities for children 3-5 years of age. These high-quality programs are geared to ensure children enter kindergarten ready to learn. All programs incorporate age-appropriate activities that help children reach their full potential cognitively, socially, physically and emotionally.
Integrated PreschoolThe Kyrene Integrated Preschool Program offers an exciting first learning experience for children who are typically developing and children who are experiencing delays in their development. Our 3-hour, 4-days per week preschool is the perfect setting for your child to ease into the school experience and prepare them for success in preschool. All classes are taught by a certified teacher and follow an age-appropriate curriculum. Small class sizes, two teaching assistants in each room and weekly in-class speech/language services, allow students to flourish academically, socially and developmentally.
Community Preschools provide an environment that encourages and supports each child’s natural curiosity to explore their environment and experience learning through play-based activities. Implementing a whole child approach helps each child receive a personal learning experience that covers all areas of development. Program options are flexible to meet the varying schedule needs for families.

Early Learning Academy (Brisas) - coming in the 2024-2025 school year
Using a team teaching approach, Early Learning Academy blends both Integrated and Signature Preschool into one cohesive program serving students with disabilities as well as their typical peer counterparts. Key components include:
- A newly redesigned Preschool experience utilizing several classrooms within the same "pod"
- Opportunity for students to move about the classroom spaces (with adult supervision, of course) based on their own interests and unique needs
- A focus on early literacy
- Full and half day options available
*Children must have self-sufficient toileting skills unless otherwise noted on their Individualized Education Plan (i.e., must be able to use the toilet consistently without frequent “accidents” in the child’s clothes or the use of diapers or pull-ups). Children who have frequent accidents may be administratively withdrawn from the program if frequency is such that it impacts program delivery.
