  • Meet the Assistant Principal

    Dear Parents and Students,

I am beyond excited to join the Kyrene del Pueblo Middle School team as the assistant principal and athletic director for the 2023-24 school year. My hope is to support, contribute, and continue to develop the record of academic, leadership, and athletic success the Pueblo student body, staff, and community have already established.

This is my 23rd year in education and my 8th in the Kyrene School District. As a teacher, I spent much of my career in Gilbert Public Schools teaching middle school social studies. I then served as the 7th grade administrator at Kyrene Aprende Middle School for two years before serving as the assistant principal at Kyrene del Milenio Elementary School for the past five years.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism-Public Relations from Arizona State University, post-baccalaureate teacher certification, and a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.

I enjoy spending my spare time with my family, watching ASU basketball, and ASU and Chicago Bears football. My wife, Sharon, serves as the academic behavior specialist at Kyrene Altadeña Middle School. My daughter, Gina, attends Arizona State University as a junior, and my son, Max, attends our neighborhood school, Basha High School in Chandler, as a junior as well.

The middle school years are an amazing time in the lives of students that affords them opportunities for new experiences, exploration, and social, emotional, and extracurricular growth. I look forward to working with you to get the most out of these opportunities in a safe and engaging environment that emphasizes kindness. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, concerns, or if I can help you in any way.

    Go Bulldogs!
