    AVID ART CLUB  

    The AVID Art Club will be drawing challenges, learning how to draw, learning illustration techniques, and story telling with pictures.  You do not have to be in an art class to attend.

    AVIATION CLUB


    Advisor:

    The Aviation Club is open to 6-8th graders who have any interest in aviation. We will learn about being a pilot, air traffic controller, mechanic, flight attendant, and working on the ground with aircraft. Student will get to fly on a simulator.      CHOIR CLUB  

    Choir Club aims to supplement the experience of choir students through offering extracurricular choir opportunities. These can range from exciting performance opportunities to participation in State Honor Choirs.

    The CMS Math department is now offering after-school tutoring. There is no charge and all students are welcome! The intention of the math tutoring lab is to provide help with current topics covered in class, answer students' questions, and assist with homework.     NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY

    The National Junior Honor Society at CMS works to elevate our commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. This year, eighth graders who finished seventh grade with a Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, receive an invitation to apply for the club and if selected, will work on service projects to benefit the school and community.     STEM CLUB

    The STEM Club at CMS is open to any 6th-7th-8th graders who have a love and/or passion for STEM related topics! This year we will be competing in the Future City Competition along with exploring other STEM related interests. There is a $50 fee to join, and we will start meeting in August.     THEATER CLUB

    Theater club is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who want to expand their theater knowledge through on and off stage opportunities. Theater club puts on after school productions, including a yearly musical. Meeting times change to meet the needs of each production, and you do not have to be in the theater class to join.     YEARBOOK CLUB

    Yearbook Club meets once a week after school to plan the design of the yearbook, organize pages, and arrange the pictures taken by Yearbook Club members. Yearbook Club members may also volunteer to be photographers at after school events.   Any questions, please email Sandra Taylor at staylor@kyrene.org
