    REGISTRATION:

    Winter Registration Opens: 10/12 ALL SPORTS

    Winter Registration Closes: 11/4 CUT SPORTS (Boys Basketball, Girls Softball, Girls Soccer & Cheer)

    Winter Registration Closes: 11/22 NON-CUT SPORTS (Wrestling)

     

    TRYOUTS:

    Winter Tryouts Begin: 11/8-11/12 (no school 11/11-Veteran's Day)

    *Cheer Clinic: 10/25, 10/26, 10/27, & 10/28*

     

    **MUST BE FULLY REGISTERED WITH CURRENT PHYSICAL ON FILE TO ATTEND CHEER CLINIC, TRYOUTS & PRACTICE!**

    Middle School Athletics

    Kyrene offers both “cut” and “non-cut” sports for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. Cut sports include: soccer, basketball, volleyball, cheer, softball, and baseball. The non-cut athletic opportunities include cross country, wrestling, and track and field.

    Fall Sports:

    Boys Soccer (cut sport) 

    Girls Volleyball (cut sport) 

    Cross Country (non-cut sport)

     

    Winter Sports:

    Boys Basketball (cut sport)

    Girls Softball (cut sport)

    Participation Fees

    If your student will be participating in a non cut sport, payment of $110 is due at the time of registration. If your student is trying out for a cut sport, payment of $150 will be due once you have been notified your student made the team ($90 for cheer). In order to participate, your student’s fee MUST be paid by the first day of practice. You must make your payment online at In-Touch Receipting. REFUNDS cannot be issued once the fee is paid.

    Goals for every participant:

    • Physical Skills necessary in the sport or activity
    • An awareness of progressive skill requirements needed to continue in the growth of a specific sport or activity
    • Respect for the efforts, abilities, and rights of others
    • The awareness of leadership responsibilities in school, community, and life contacts, as well as on the field
    • Active participation by all members of the team.

    Participation Requirements:

    All students must have a current sports physical uploaded and the online registration documents filled out in order to try out.

    Payments must be made before the first practice for cut sports. For non-cut sports, payments are due at registration.
