More information and meeting dates coming soon!

Akimel’s ASL Club is a diverse community where students with different levels of sign language ability learn from one another while discovering and understanding the deaf culture. It provides an avenue for middle school students to learn basic American Sign Language such as letters of the alphabet, numbers, animals, simple phrases, and even sing (and sign) songs. Each meeting is a fun way to learn a new topic and also an opportunity to make new friends. Hearing and deaf students learn together every meeting how to communicate silently while learning a new language.
