15 Kyrene Teachers Receive Arts Grants from City of Tempe
Kyrene students will benefit from more than a dozen grants awarded to their arts teachers. More Kyrene School District educators were awarded Arts in Education grants from the City of Tempe this year than in the last two years combined. Fifteen teachers will now be able to procure everything from Mariachi guitars and elementary ukuleles to professional accompanists for concerts and supplies for student theatre productions or art projects.

Kyrene Elementary Students Put Fall Twist on Classic STEM Project
Early in the morning on Monday, October 31, students at Kyrene de los Cerritos Leadership Academy in Ahwatukee poured into the campus courtyard for their first pumpkin drop. The pumpkin drop was the final step in a schoolwide STEM project.

Kyrene Governing Board Approves 2-2-2 Calendar Adoption
The Kyrene Governing Board voted on May 24 to adopt calendars for the 2023-24, 2024-25, and 2025-26 school years. The calendars reflect a transition to a new model, beginning in 2023-24.
