    Please come to school prepared with the following supplies:

    Supply List

     

    • 3-subject spiral notebook

    • Highlighters- 2 colors

    • Two-pocket folder

    • 1 notebook for daily journaling

    • Hand held pencil sharpener

    • Dry erase markers

    • Colored pencils (very important for the first week)

    • Post-it-notes   (multiple colors are helpful)

    Classroom Rules:  

    Enter class QUIETLY in a single file line.

    1. Be respectful to others and their property.

    2. Be responsible for oneself.

    3. Obey directions, written and oral.

    4. Make good choices and take responsibility for your actions.

    5. Come to class prepare to learn with all supplies and a positive attitude:

    1. Agenda

    2. Sharpened pencil

    3. Sharpened colored pencils

    4. Novel

    5. Journal

    6. Completed homework

    7. Language Arts binder

    8. A POSITIVE attitude

    6.  Do your BEST work!

    7.  LATE WORK WILL RECEIVE ZERO CREDIT!

    8.  Follow all rules as outlined in the school   handbook!

    9. GUM IS NOT ALLOWED!

    Expectations I have of you:

    1. Ask questions at the appropriate times when you do not understand something.

    2. Complete all assigned work to the very best of your ability.

     

    3. Study and prepare for tests and quizzes.

    4. When you are absent, take responsibility for making up all work.

    5. Understand the similarities and differences of others in our classroom.

    6. Communicate with me as to any way I can better help you be successful in class or out of class.

    Consequences:

    If a student chooses not to follow the Rules and Expectations of this classroom, the following actions can be taken:

    1. Verbal warning.

    2. Consequences assigned by teacher in direct correlation with the choice made by the student.

    3. On campus ISI or detention

    4. Parent contact

    Grading Policy:

    Students will be subject to the same grading scale that is cited in the handbook.

    Grades will be earned using the point system.

    Assignment/Point Value:

    Each assignment (homework, projects, quizzes, and tests) will be given a point value. Students will be informed of the point value for each assignment as they are assigned.
