    About Sharon Bond

It is great to be part of the administrative staff for the 2013 – 2014 school year.  This is my 35th year in Kyrene and my 41st year in education!  Needless to say I have seen many of my former students return to Pueblo with their own middle schoolers, what a joy this has been.

I spent the first 6 years of my career in the Murphy Elementary District, and then it was off to Kyrene Jr High which was located at Kyrene and Warner Roads.  There were 3 elementary schools and one junior high at the time.  Oh the changes I have seen!  When Pueblo opened I made the move there with many of the KJH staff.  I have been here since we opened and plan to stay as long as there is a place for me.

My own children were Kyrene kids from K -8 and then TUHSD kids until graduation.  They received a wonderful education which prepared them for college and for life. Daughter Kelly is the Sp Ed Department Chair at Corona and my son Tim is a firefighter in Peoria.  I have two amazing grandchildren, Logan a 4 year old Corona Aztyke, and sweet Violet is 1 year.  My husband of 41 years Garry , is a retired educator who coaches swimming at Desert Vista this year and spent the last two years tutoring math at Corona.  He loves working with kids and staying connected to the schools.

Pueblo is home to me, and I am happy to be part of such a caring place.  I call myself the “Mother of the 6th grade”, but I care and watch over all the students, after all they used to be my 6th graders.

Together we can make this another great school year!!

    Sincerely,

    Sharon Bond
