    About James Martinmaroon line
My name is James Martin and I am excited to be a part of the KMS community.

I grew up in Tempe, Arizona and graduated from McClintockHigh School.  I received my Bachelor's Degree from Arizona State University 1998 and began working for the Kyrene School District as a supervisor in the Community Education Department.  During my time in Community Education I worked with Kid’s Club and Kyrene Athletics.  After three years in Community Education I decided that I wanted to return to school to pursue my teaching certificate. Upon completion of my teaching certificate I was fortunate to return to the Kyrene School District as the Physical Education teacher at Kyrene de las Manitas.  After two years at Manitas I had the opportunity to move to Centennial Middle School.  During my time at CMS I made the decision to pursue a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.  While working to complete my Master’s Degree an opportunity arose to move into an administrative role at Centennial as the 7th grade student advisor. In 2009 I had the opportunity to move to KMS as the assistant principal, where I worked for 3 years.  After my time at KMS I moved to Pueblo Middle School, where I spent another 3 years.

In my free time I try to spend as much time as I can with my wife and our three daughters.  In addition, I love being active and can be found riding my mountain bike whenever I have the chance.

I am incredibly excited to return to KMS!
