    Principal of Manitas

  • About Mr. Langston

    Dear Manitas Community,

It is an honor and privilege to serve as the Principal at Kyrene de las Manitas Elementary School. The 2019-2020 school year will by my thirteenth year as the Principal at Manitas and I am excited to work with our incredible staff and all the wonderful families in our community. We are honored to teach your children and know this year will be full of learning and fun opportunities to grow academically and emotionally.

Prior to becoming an administrator, I was a classroom teacher in the Tustin Unified School District in Southern California and in the Kyrene School District. Over those years I taught fourth, fifth and seventh grade as well as serving as a Vice Principal in Anaheim City School District in Southern California. Being an administrator gives me the opportunity to build relationships with students, staff, parents and the community. It is a joy to come to work each day and have a meaningful impact in the lives of children.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and watching sports; especially the Lakers, Redskins and Angels. I visit my parents and sister as often as I can in Orange County, California. I cherish helping raise two amazing children at home (ages 8 and 10) and being an uncle to my niece and nephew. I also am an avid runner and have participated in numerous 5ks, 10ks and ½ marathons.

I am proud to work with passionate people who are committed to providing a quality education for all students.

    Respectfully,
    Mr. Dan Langston
