    Dear Parents and Students,

    Welcome to Aprende Middle School, Home of the Jaguars! Aprende is an outstanding school that has a caring and dedicated staff which empowers all students to become 21st century learners.
     
    I'm the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Aprende Middle School. As the Assistant Principal my main responsibility is to help support the needs of our 8th grade students. I work closely with our entire 8th grade teaching team with academic and behavior concerns as well as address any scheduling needs for all 8th grade students.
     
    Throughout the school year, our 8th grade teachers will be challenging your student to reach their full potential with rigorous lessons and units that will prepare them for high school.  In addition, as a staff, we recognize that the transition to high school can be a difficult process for students and their families. To help with the transition our staff works closely with local high schools to deliver information to help plan the next step in your child's education. There are frequent updates on our school website highlighting transition activities. Please check our school website frequently for important dates, times, and events.
     
     
    We offer a variety of sports throughout the school year. In the fall our cut sports include girls volleyball and boys soccer. Our non-cut sport in the fall is cross country. In the winter our cut sports include, boys basketball, cheer, girls softball, and girls soccer. Our non-cut sport in the winter is wrestling. During the spring sports season our cut sports include boys baseball and girls basketball. Our non-cut sport during the spring season is track and field. Our school has a variety of clubs that students can join. Please check our school website for the different clubs we have here at Aprende.
