About Ms. Sandlin

Hi, my name is Brynn Sandlin. My husband, Matt, and I have two little boys. Cash is 4 and Paxton is 16 months.  Spending time with my family is my favorite thing to do.  Between my boys, work, and life I have pretty much forgotten what free time is; however if I ever find it again I would read a book, shop, and float around in the pool.

I graduated from ASU, where I earned a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Child Development.  After I graduated, I became a social worker and worked with families whose children had been identified as high-risk for abuse and neglect.  I discovered through social work the value and impact that education and my teachers really had on my life, so I decided to go back to school and get my Master’s in Education. I enjoy watching students grow and develop new skills.  I find it rewarding to be right there with the students as they learn and discover new ideas. I taught second grade for 8 years at Sierra and then spent a year as an Educational Technology Specialist for the Kyrene District.  I loved that position and enjoyed enriching students learning through technology.  However, being a busy mom of two boys, I have learned how fast time goes and wanted to spend more time with them while they are still little as well as continue to do what I love, which is teach.  A job-share last year was the perfect chance for me to do both.
