National Board Certified Teachers
Certification in Kyrene
Kyrene supports the National Board Certification process by offering in house pre-candidacy classes using the curriculum developed by the Arizona K12 Center. During candidacy, monthly support meetings are held in Kyrene with a NBCT specially trained in facilitating candidates through the process. Once the certification is achieved, Kyrene awards an additional stipend amount in the teacher's contract for the life of the certificate.

The Arizona Educational Foundation (AEF) awards the coveted A+ School of Excellence™ award to select public schools each year. AEF has identified and honored exemplary pre-kindergarten through 12th grade public schools in Arizona since 1983.
