Online Tool/Software & Hardware Requests
New technology tools are introduced every day that may enhance instruction and benefit an educational setting. Due to the complexity of district-wide systems, the potential impact on the education of children, the need to safeguard student data, and the cost of new resources and tools, there are many factors that must be considered before any new online tools/software or equipment is approved for use with students.
Process and Timeline for Review of Submitted Requests
Begin by accessing either the Online Tool/Software or Hardware page linked below. Be sure to review the Crucial Factors related to online tools/software and hardware in Kyrene. The request form on the page will need to be filled out and submitted. The information in the request will be reviewed by the Information Technology Department where an evaluation of system requirements and student data privacy will take place. If the resource is instructional or curricular in nature, your request will be sent to the Academic Equity & Excellence
Department for content area review. The request will then move forward to the Curriculum Council for final review. After the review process is completed, an email with a request response will be sent. All online tool/software requests will be added to the
Supplemental Online Resources Approval Status List.
Allow up to 3 months from submission of request to council review and recommendation.
View the Curriculum Council Meeting Dates. The Curriculum Council meets at least bimonthly to review supplemental materials requests, pilot program requests, and the program of study.
