  • ATTN: VALIC Employee 403b/457 Transition Underway!

Employees, please be aware that the transition from Voya to VALIC for our 403b/457b vendor services has begun.  Meetings were held in January to introduce our new VALIC representatives. School site and district office VALIC representative meetings have been scheduled and begin this month for employees to meet 1:1 with VALIC.  By the end of March 2019, the transition to VALIC will nearing completion.

For current Kyrene 403b/457b participants, as required under the plan, there are several notices below that provide key information about your asset transfer. Included are details regarding how assets will be mapped to VALIC, a quiet period where no transactions can occur and Voya fixed account incremental fund transfers over to VALIC.

*Please read the FAQ and all the attachments for important plan and timeline details.

New to 403b/457b?  The school and district office 1:1 VALIC representative meetings are a great place to start learning how this optional retirement savings plan can save you money now and build an even greater retirement income outlook.  Be sure to stop by to meet your VALIC representative at your site. Emails will be sent to your Kyrene email to notify you of your scheduled upcoming VALIC site visit.

Disclosure of your Social Security number is permitted under Section 7 of the Federal Privacy Act of 1974. For health insurance and other employee benefit plans; our vendors indicate that SSN’s are mandatory to identify individuals enrolling for coverage. Further, a new Mandatory Insurer Reporting law, Section 111 of Public Law 110-173, requires group health plan insurers to report SSN’s in order for Medicare to coordinate payments with other insurance benefits. The SSN’s for you and those of your family may be requested for these purposes. If you have questions about when or why a particular plan requires your social security number, please contact the vendor directly.
