Welcome back to another fantastic year of learning! I’m very happy to be teaching our  5^th grade students this year, and helping out with the whole school as we work to challenge our students in math, reading and every subject.  Our goal is that your child loves learning, and finds areas that are of interest to him or her; encouraging life-long learners to help make the world a better place as they learn and grow. 

I have taught school in both Arizona and Connecticut, although I’m originally from California. I have taught most grade levels, formally or informally, from Kinder through college level, and have Masters’ degrees in Elementary Education and Geographic Education from Arizona State University. I am married with two children.  We enjoy our summers of travel and discovery, as we have family on different continents, so there’s always someone to visit.  In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, camping, basketball, tennis, piano, reading, writing and spending time with friends and family.  I’m looking forward to another great year!
