    Meet Ms. Cotelapurple line

    Dear Parents and Students,
My name is Rochelle Cotela.  I am an Arizona native, but I love to travel to other states and countries. I attended Arizona State University where I graduated with degree in Elementary Education in 2003. In May 2010, I completed graduate school and received a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from NAU. I taught for 4 years in the Scottsdale School District where taught a 2/3 multiage class for 2 years and 3rd grade for 2 years. In 2008 I had the pleasure of moving to Kyrene at Waggoner Elementary School. Finally, in 2009 I arrived at Esperanza and haven't left!
I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I remember. I even wrote a report about it when I was in 5th grade. I have always worked with children. I have been a gymnastics coach, worked at a daycare, a summer camp as a councelor, and a Kid Zone leader. Teaching and children are a passion of mine.
Some of my hobbies are hiking, photography, traveling, and sports.
I am looking forward to getting to know your child and spending a wonderful school year with him or her.
