About Principal Dr. Kyle Ross

I’m beyond excited to be returning as principal of Kyrene Digital Academy! KDA is the first of its kind in Kyrene; a completely online K-8 school, with all the excellence of a Kyrene education! I bring to this position over 20 years of experience in Arizona education, serving previously as the principal of Kyrene del Pueblo Middle school.

Prior to Kyrene, I served as a teacher, school administrator, Director of Instructional Technology, and Director of Assessment in the Scottsdale Unified School District. In my roles, I have been a part of the design, professional development, and implementation of various initiatives involving educational technology in Kyrene and elsewhere, including online and blended learning, the ISTE standards, flipped classrooms, BYOD learning, Google Suite including Google Classroom, STEM initiatives, online assessment, and 1:1 programs. As the administrator directly overseeing the Kyrene Digital Academy, I believe I have a unique blend of experience that qualifies me to design and lead an online school, and I’d love it if you joined me!
