Frequently Asked Questions
-
Are employees required to clock in and out for their various jobs?
If employees work multiple jobs, they will not need to clock in and out throughout the day as their job changes. However, they are required to transfer between positions using the Change Job Code function on either the physical clock, web-clock, or TCP app. If an employee has an unpaid break between positions, the employee must clock in and out to cover the unpaid break.
-
How much time does it take to clock in?
Less than 30 seconds. Clocking in and out is very simple.
-
Will the time clock round?
The time clock will capture the employees time and will do what is called ‘incremental rounding.’ Incremental rounding provides the most accurate form of reporting time without restricting employees. The time clock will look at all punches (in and out as well as lunch) and will round in increments.

What if employees arrive a few minutes before their scheduled start time?
