Meet Mrs. Brown

Mrs. Brown I'm Amy Brown, and I'm so excited to be teaching math at Akimel A-al Middle School!  This is my first year teaching in public school, but I have a long career of teaching in other settings.  I have been a Speech Language Pathologist for 20 years, and have taught graduate students in NAU's speech pathology program.  It's been a great career...so what am I doing teaching math now??  Well, I just love math.  I honestly decided to teach math because it's so fun...and my hope is that by the end of the first quarter, you will agree!

I am a wife and a mother of three boys. Two of them are at Altadena Middle School (one is in 7B-8 Compact Math, and one is in Algebra!) and one is taking Algebra 2 at Desert Vista.  Our family has a standard poodle named Emma.  My hobbies include reading, cooking, running, but most of my time is taken up by my three boys: marching band, lacrosse, football, boy scouts...
