• Dear Parents and Students!

I am so happy to be joining the Kyrene community. I truly hope to make Theatre I & II a positive and rewarding experience for your student.

I am returning to teaching after a ten year absence. I previously taught choir at Centennial Middle School for nine years and theatre for one. Then something truly exciting and wonderful happened. We adopted two girls and I left teaching to become a stay-at-home mom (I know-oxymoron 'cause there "ain't" no such thing!) I then spent the following ten years volunteering at their schools, being a Girl Scout Leader, and exploring our world with them. Our older daughter is now at ASU and our younger one will be a new 6th grader at Pueblo this year. So, this teaching opportunity came along at just the right time for all of us and I can't wait to share my lifelong love of all things THEATRE!

My favorite form of theatre is Musical Theatre-but honestly I love them all. I also love exploring my heritage, movies, traveling (look for the map in my room!), hiking (anywhere with water and big trees), and chilling afterwards with a cup of hot tea (black) with lemon and honey and a good book. I grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (BA & MFA) so I'm a REAL PB&J girl (Packers, Badgers, and Just about any kind of cheese!!!)

Can't wait to explore the many performing arts and styles around this precious world of ours with you and your students!
