    Dear Parents and Students,

Hello, and welcome to my page!  I am so happy to be a part of the Kyrene School District and sharing my love of learning with the students here.  I grew up in Pennsylvania and am a graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania, which is located just west of the beautiful city of Philadelphia. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a music concentration.  I received my Master of Education degree from the University of Maine, located in scenic Orono, Maine, the home of famous author Stephen King.

I was fortunate enough to learn about this great country while living in the northeast and frequently visited cities with amazing history, such as Philadelphia, New York, and Boston.  It is an awe-inspiring experience to hear of Paul Revere’s ride while standing beside the Old North Church, or about the Declaration of Independence while walking Independence Mall and viewing the Liberty Bell. I am excited to now be living in Arizona with all its rich history and beautiful landscapes!  I have been living in Arizona for four years and have had the chance to explore some of the more popular spots here but am very excited to check out some of the little places tucked away in the vastness of this great state!

I have many hobbies, including: singing, sports (especially baseball “Go D-Backs!!!!”) and traveling.  I have visited many places throughout the world, but the highlight of my tours was a trip to Europe where I rode my bicycle from Amsterdam to Paris.  It was a wonderful adventure filled with scenic roadways, flavorful foods, and kind, caring Europeans who shared their homes and lives with us.  In addition, I am an animal lover.  I currently have two cat-kids and have a host of memories from the many pets that I have loved throughout my life.  Fur-babies are awesome!

As a proud 2nd year member of the staff at Centennial Middle School I am blessed to be a part of the Kyrene Community.  I am excited to meet the students and parents I will work with this year! It’s going to be a great year!

    Sincerely,

    Kimberly Raub
