    Me at Master's Graduation

  • Hello Parents and Students!

I am Marisa Pope. I am so excited to be at Centennial Middle School this year. I look forward to getting to know everyone who enters my classroom, parents, and students, and working with them to make this a successful and positive school year.

I am originally from Chino Hills, CA and graduated from Chino Hills High School. After high school, I went to community college in California for two years to get my core classes done.

I moved to Arizona in 2013 when I began attending Grand Canyon University. I have since graduated with my Bachelor's of Science in Secondary Education with an emphasis on English and a Master's of Science in Instructional Technology.

Before this position, I worked in the Peoria District for 3 years, teaching 7th grade ELA. I live in Tempe, AZ and I have two dogs Fox and Molly who are my babies. When I am not at school, you can typically find me with them either reading or watching Netflix, or at Target.

I believe that all students are capable of achieving great things in the classroom and my job is to help them to meet their highest potential.

I look forward to meeting all of you!
