    Arizona Education Association Professional Development
    AEA offers an online suite of professional development tools and resources to help you provide a quality public education for every child in Arizona
    NEA offers over 100 micro-credentials to educators free of charge. These micro-credentials have been created and will be reviewed by educators. 
    NEA ESP has created a wide variety of professional development webinars designed to support the professional growth of Education Support Professionals (ESP).  These do not generate a certificate of attendance. 
    Assistive Technology - AZ Department of Education

    The AT Builders Series is developed to allow participants to pick and choose which subject areas of assistive technology they wish to build upon. Participants will gain additioanl expertise in the subject area.

    AT Builders Series Regional Trainings will focus on tools and strategies to help struggling students become better readers and writers.

    Maricopa County Library District

    Gale Courses  offers a wide range of highly interactive, instructor led courses that you can take entirely online.   As a library card holder in good standing, you are entitled to these courses at no cost. Courses run for six weeks and new sessions begin every month.

    NAU Select

    Special Education Learning Experiences for Competency in Teaching (SELECT) is a federally funded program sponsored by the Arizona Department of Education and offered through the Institute for Human Development at Northern Arizona University. SELECT courses are recommended for special and general education teachers, administrators, related service personnel, paraeducators, and other interested individuals.

    Certified school personnel can take SELECT classes for renewal hours. SELECT classes can be taken for university credit for those teachers or administrators who are required by their school districts to have official transcripts and for those who may need to transfer hours out of state (tuition and associated fees apply). The classes can also be taken for professional growth contact hours for free.




     PBS TeacherLine 

    PBS offers facilitated and self-paced courses to empower teachers in their classrooms.  Faciliated courses are 15, 30, or 45 hours, while self-paced courses are 1.5 or 3 hour.  While many of the courses are free, some do have a fee associated with them. Look in the course details section of the course description to determine the cost of the course. 

    Sanford Inspire   Sanford Inspire offers online self-paced courses on a variety of topics important for both novice and experienced teachers. Teachers create a free account to access materials and transcripts. 
    Project Core  Project Core offers modules geared toward literacy and disability studies. Brief modules include: Universal Core Vocabulary, Beginning Communicators, Aided Language Input, Supporting Individual Access to the Universal Core, Teaching Communication During Daily Routines and Activities, Shared Reading, Predictable Chart Writing, Alphabet Knowledge and Phonological Awareness, Independent Reading and Writing.      Once courses are completed, submit certificate of completion in Performance Matters using the External Credit Request tab
