SchoolMessenger
Frequently Asked Questions
Kyrene School District uses SchoolMessenger for district and school notifications, from newsletters to emergency alerts. These notifications include email, text and and phone messages. SchoolMessenger is also the system used for Kyrene attendance notifications. It is important to us that families receive all communications, so we have developed the following answers to common questions.
SchoolMessenger Support Guide
-
How do I sign up for notifications?
There is no need to sign up for emails. The email contact information you provided when registering your child for school is automatically entered into our SchoolMessenger system.
-
Why am I not receiving emails?
Families are asked to please follow these steps first:
-
Verify that your email contact information is correct in ParentVUE. If the contact information is incorrect, please update your information utilizing our Online Registration portal by logging into your ParentVUE account and then selecting Online Registration in the upper right corner.
- If your contact information is correct in ParentVUE, the next step is to check all email folders (including promotion or spam folders) for Kyrene emails. If Kyrene emails are routing to your spam folders, try adding Kyrene as a trusted contact by following the instructions in our support guide.
If you continue to experience problems receiving email, it could be that the email address you are using is blocked. This can happen when an email account has many unread messages or many messages deleted without opening over time. That practice can cause emails to "bounce" back to the sender. Any email with a high "bounce" rate may be automatically blocked. While Kyrene can "unblock" these emails, we find they eventually end up back on the block list.
One solution may be to choose an alternate email contact—for example, one that is not used for online shopping or memberships and therefore does not get a high volume of email.

-
Why are some Kyrene emails sent to all of my email addresses, and some are sent to just one address?
-
How do I change the email address that is subscribed to Kyrene School District emails?
Verify contact information in ParentVue. If you need to update that contact information, select online registration within ParentVUE and make changes to your account information.
-
I unsubscribed from Kyrene emails. How do I re-subscribe to receive emails again?
Complete the re-subscribe to email form. This form is for individuals who have children currently enrolled at Kyrene School District and have unsubscribed, or chose to opt-out, from Kyrene School District email communications, and would like to re-subscribe to email communications using the same email address they unsubscribed with. Please allow up to two (2) business days for processing.
-
How do parents/guardians verify that they are registered to receive emails from Kyrene?
Parents and guardians of enrolled students are automatically set to receive emails from Kyrene School District. Kyrene School District uses existing student contact information to reach parents and guardians. This data is updated daily. Please verify your contact information in ParentVue to ensure that it is current.
