Meet the Librarian

Dear Parents and Students,

I have been the Aprende Teacher Librarian for the past fourteen years.  I also teach two reading invention classes at Aprende.

I have my B.A. in elementary education and my masters in library science in addition to having 30 doctoral hours in language arts. Before I became the librarian at Aprende, I taught third through eighth grade and gifted language arts and math, plus I was an assistant professor teaching education method classes for eight years at Grand Canyon University. 

My passion is reading.  I love doing book talks and recommending books to students and teachers.  One of my favorite moments is when students tell me they love the book I recommended.

I have been married for 41 years, have two sons and three cats.  My interests include reading (no surprise), traveling, scrapbooking and enjoying my family and friends.
