Hello there parents and students! My name is Jessica Hill and I'm very excited to be a 7th grade science teacher this year.
I come to you from Idaho, land of potatoes. I grew up in a town called Meridian and then went to college at BYU-Idaho in Rexburg, a very, VERY cold place in the winter. I chose to complete my student teaching in Mesa, Arizona so I could thaw out! I then taught in Mesa for two years teaching 6th grade math. After that I spent a year in Idaho teaching 7th grade math, zoology, and geology. I also got married while in Idaho to an Arizonan and we moved back to Arizona a year ago. I'm thrilled to be starting my fifth year of teaching as a science teacher in the Kyrene District!
I love camping, roller coasters, boating, sports, reading, anything to do with the outdoors, and Boise State football. At my core I am a learner. I hope, as a teacher, I can inspire my students to love learning, ask questions, never give up, and be successful. It's going to be a great year!
