You may have heard my name last year as a 3rd grade teacher. I am excited to be moving to teaching Resource this year! This will be my tenth year of teaching. I have taught five years of general education - grades 1st, 3rd, 5th and 6th and will be starting my fifth year in special education. What's my favorite? I can never answer that question, because I love building relationships with every group of students.
I graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and a minor in music. In 2012 I completed my Master's in Special Education from Whitworth University. In 2017 I completed my National Board Certification as an Exceptional Needs Specialist!
When I am not at school, I enjoy being in the kitchen, hanging out with my husband and staying connected with my family and friends. You might find me browsing department stores for a good sale or organizing something at my house! I love to stay active by swimming, biking, running, and hiking. I also have a deep love for music and enjoy jamming with other musicians.
I am passionate about working with kids and cannot imagine having any other job than teaching!
