For the 2022-2023 school year, KTA will continue to offer a number of athletic teams on campus: Volleyball, Boys Basketball, Cheer, Cross Country, and Girls Basketball. Because of limitations on equipment, the size of our KTA field areas, etc., KTA students will continue to have the opportunity to register for sports at Aprende that KTA doesn't offer.  KTA students are encouraged to try-out for the following cut sports at Aprende: Boys Soccer ( Fall ) Girls Soccer (winter), Softball (winter), and Boys Baseball (spring), Track and Field- non cut ( Spring). The Kyrene School District will provide transportation from KTA to Aprende for afternoon practices. All transportation to away games will be provided by the Kyrene School District. Parents must provide on-time transportation home from all home and away games.

 Students interested in the Kyrene Athletic Program will need to adhere to the same expectations for sports physicals, fees, and try-outs as other middle schools.

KTA will hold its own sports for the following sports:

Fall:  Girls Volleyball and Cross Country

Winter: Cheer (cut sport) and Boys Basketball (cut sport) 

Spring: Girls Basketball (cut sport)

KTA students may participate with Aprende for the 2021/2022 school year and transportation will be provided to Aprende for practices for the following sports:

Fall: Boys Soccer

Winter: Wrestling (non cut), Girls Soccer (cut sport) and Girls Softball (cut sport)

Spring: Track and Field (non-cut sport) and Boys Baseball (cut sport)
