Kyrene Strategic Planning
Building a Blueprint for Progress
The current Kyrene Strategic Plan concludes in December 2022. Strategic planning is an active, continuous improvement process with oversight by the Kyrene Governing Board. Kyrene is currently building the District’s next strategic plan, which will launch with the 2023-24 school year.
Kyrene began the strategic planning process in the 2021-22 school year by engaging stakeholders through focus groups and visioning survey, to better understand our community’s aspirations for our Kyrene students. Through that engagement, Kyrene used the insight of students, staff, families and community partners to develop the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Policy and the Portrait of a Kyrene Kid, which will both be cornerstones of the new strategic plan.
Developing a North Star
In November of 2022, the Board approved The Kyrene Promise, which outlines the District's vision and mission, and the Kyrene Key Values, which will be fundamental to the new strategic plan. The promise and the values will roll out with the official launch of the strategic plan in mid-2023. The public can view the Board's discussion at the November 22 meeting link on this page.
Governing Board Meetings
The Kyrene Governing Board approved the District's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Policy as well as the Portrait of a Kyrene Kid in May 2022 and have held multiple public meetings and retreats to begin building the strategic plan. You can view those meetings at the links below.
