    Schools emphasize high academic standards, invite strong parental involvement, and support a “whole child” approach to learning. Kyrene inspires students to develop a passion for learning, leading and achieving! There are 25 schools in the District (18 elementary, 6 middle schools and one K-8). The District’s boundaries encompass all of Ahwatukee, and parts of Chandler, Guadalupe, Tempe, and the Gila River Indian Reservation.
     
    Enrollment for the 2019-20 school year begins January 7. 
    New this year -  Kyrene is moving to an online enrollment system for all new and current families.

  • Preschool and kindergarten options

    Kyrene provides opportunities for children to develop early learning skills. Kindergarten is tuition free with full-day or half-day options. Preschool options include Integrated, Community and Signature Programs (e.g. Reggio Emilia, Traditional, Arts Integration and Spanish Immersion).

  • Elementary and middle school options

    Kyrene curriculum is aligned to state standards, age-appropriate, rigorous and comprehensive. Students consistently out-perform their peers, exceeding performance levels in state assessments for English language arts, math, and science.

  • Before/after school programs

    A variety of on-site community programs are available before/after school and during school breaks. Programs are for ages PreK to 8th grade and are on-site at most schools. These include Kids Club, After Hours, Summer Academy and non-school day options.
