Dear Parents and Students,
I am thrilled to be a part of the Kyrene School District family as KASP's counselor/coordinator!
I was born and raised in Arizona. I interned at Akimel A-al Middle School and Kyrene's Del Norte Elementary School while I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from ASU. After completing my student teaching in Costa Rica for 6 months, I returned to Arizona and began my career as a teacher in the Madison School District for 9 years. While I loved teaching, my long term goal was always to be a counselor. Therefore, while teaching I continued my education and earned a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from NAU. My counseling internship took place in the Tempe Union High School District and Scottsdale Unified School District. I also gained experience by volunteering counseling services (including the Children Crisis Center and various shelters) around the valley.
Being in education has allowed me the opportunity to travel the world. During the summers, I have volunteered at schools in Rwanda, Nepal and most recently in Poland and Czech Republic. If I am not traveling abroad, you can find me camping, hiking, or training for marathons and triathlons around Arizona. I love being outdoors!
I am very passionate about providing quality guidance and support to the Kyrene students who we have the opportunity to work with through our Kyrene Alternative to Suspension Program (KASP) and our Long Term Alternative to Suspension Program (LTAP). I am committed to providing a warm and safe environment for the students and will always strive to help them reach their fullest potential.
~Ms. Dominski (KASP counselor/coordinator)
