    Dear Students and Parents,

I am so excited to be teaching theatre at Pueblo Middle School! This will be my 3rd year here. We are going to have so much fun!

My full name is Dilcia Yvonne Yáñez Rokusek, but you can call me Ms. R. My Mom’s name is also Dilcia and she is from Honduras. My Dad is David Yanez and he is Mexican-American. I am proud of my Latina heritage and my ability to speak Spanish. I have 3 kids- 1 daughter and 2 sons. I also have 1 dog and 2 cats.

I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Theatre Education degree and I had the privilege of being the very first Theatre teacher at Cesar Chavez High School in South Phoenix. After 4 amazing years of teaching theatre and stagecraft, I decided to be a stay-at-home Mom. Now that my kids are older, I have come back to doing what I love: sharing theatre with kids.

In addition to teaching, I also act throughout the valley. In my free time, I love to swing dance, tap dance, go vintage shopping, watch movies, and sing along to Broadway musicals in my car.
