    Transportation Team COVID-19 Update - 03/19/2020

    Here is the most up to date communication and direction regarding the District Closure specific to our work group.  Keep in mind, this is an everchanging situation that will require your frequent review of communication.  Our thanks in advance for checking email, voice mail, workplace, and with each  other through this time.

    Which will allow you to choose from the following options through the duration of the closure, or until other guidance is provided. All staff MUST COMPLETE THIS SURVEY ASAP!

    • On Call and paid from 7am-130pm every school day (if you are contacted during these hours you must be responsive and ready to report)
    • Continue to use ACA time and not be contacted to work from an on call pool
    • Use time without pay and not be contacted to work from an on call pool

    Effective tomorrow 3/20/2020 if you are not performing a “critical role” and have not been advised directly, all staff has been assigned to on call status.

    We have also prepared a Professional Development Page for your use during this time to refresh and review industry relavant material and information.  Please follow the link on the transportation employee links page to access these training tools.

    We have placed slides on the transportation employee links page explaining the on call work expectation.  These slides will answer your questions and offer some scenarios that will make the options more clear.

    Whatever option you choose On call, ACA, Unpaid – per the survey is how we will put your time into TCP for Pay – we will be adding all on call worked hours for Bus Drivers, FIT Drivers, and Monitors.   Should you choose to utilize ACA time you will need to access TCP and make the request for approval.  If you choose to use time WOP you in addition to the survey contact your supervisor and Danielle to add the WOP option.

    Transportation office and garage staff will clock in and out via the Kyrene website.

    Transportation Team COVID-19 Update - 03/16/2020

    Transportation Team,

    As the COVID-19 events continue to evolve here is some information for our work group during the week of 3/17/2020 – 3/27/2020.

    First and foremost, please plan to return only if you do not have any symptoms of illness.

    • Transportation staff will be able to work a six-hour schedule in various tasks in our department
    • Transportation staff will have the option to use ACA time in lieu of working (Request in TCP HERE, Instructions to Log On To Dashboard HERE))
    • Transportation staff will have the option to take the time unpaid

    ALL Staff is required to fill out the Google Survey in regards to their choice of returning to work. You can access the Google Survey HERE so that you my select your work assignments in order of preference.  All staff who choose to work will be assigned to one of these groups.  Alternate duties outside of this list are not an option at this time.  As the week proceeds we will be open to adjustments, additions, and any needed changes for the best use of our workforce and time.

    This event, as it is unchartered territory for all work groups, will create many questions.  You may also find the most up to date communication on the Transportation web page.     Loop 202 Updates

    Beginning Friday, November 15, there will be no access between 32nd Street and Loop 202/Pecos Road. The closure will last through the remainder of the school year. During this time, construction crews will be building the new 32nd Street interchange ramps for freeway entry and exit. Drivers may use Chandler Boulevard to access 32nd Street. Drivers may use 24th or 40th Streets to access Loop 202. Kyrene School District is working closely with the “Connect 202” team to determine impact to bus routes and to ensure buses remain on schedule. Families will be kept informed of any transportation updates.
