Aprende Middle School Jaguar Academy
Students collaborate in problem solvingThe Jaguar Academy is designed around three important features: creative thinking and problem solving, an engaging and collaborative curriculum, and integration of technology. The Jag Academy is a cohort of 60 students who will remain in their cohort for core classes in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Students receive their core curriculum in an integrated block format: Humanities (English Language Arts and Social Studies) and STEM (Science and Math). Each block is approximately two hours in length and is taught by a single teacher. There are two Jag Academy teachers in each grade level. Instruction is integrated, rigorous, and collaborative. Students regularly engage in inquiry based problem solving and often work in collaborative groups.
