Welcome back to another year at Kyrene de los Cerritos, A Leadership Academy.  Our school mission statement is “Leaders of Today inspiring Leaders of Tomorrow”.  We live this mission every day at Cerritos.  We encourage our students to engage in the 7 Habits of Happy Kids which provides a framework for teaching important skills that they can use now and in the future.  We challenge students, teachers, and staff to be leaders and to help those around them to demonstrate their own leadership. 

I have been in education in Arizona for 27 years. I was a chemistry teacher for 16 years, a district science coordinator for four years, and a science specialist for the Arizona Department of Education for two years. I started in July of 2017 with the Kyrene School District as a member of the curriculum department. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Arizona (GO WILDCATS!!) and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.  I have been married to my husband, Greg, for 26 years and we have two sons, Nathan and Jordan.

As the proud Principal of Kyrene de los Cerritos I am excited to continue our journey in leadership and strive to motivate students and staff to be the best leaders they can be.
