Hello! My name is Rachael Pearson and I will be your child's 3rd grade teacher this year. I am excited to be working with you and your child this year as there will be a lot of fun and learning. I love being part of Monte Vista as the school is very welcoming and has a lot of dedicated teachers and students.

Let me tell you a little about myself! I was born in Washington state and moved to Arizona shortly after; I am basically a native. I attended private schools and then went to Northern Arizona University (NAU) for my undergraduate studies. I pursued a degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood certificate and a Spanish minor. I have had numerous hours working in the classroom with students in the program I participated in. I finished my Master's through NAU in Elementary Education with a Reading K-8 emphasis in 2017.

In my free time, I love to travel! I have been to Costa Rica, Ireland, the U.K., Australia, and Italy. Besides that, I enjoy reading, cooking, and taking pictures. I have a cat who keeps me good company.

In our classroom, I will promote a positive learning environment where every child will be capable of learning where they are currently at. Each child's learning rate will be honored and supported to meet their needs. It is also my mission to instill a love for learning in my students. I attempt to teach with a passion for my subject so that my students can develop a desire to be life-long learners.

I am looking forward to this upcoming year with you and your child! Communication will always be open and I am here to support you in any way that you may need. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

    Sincerely,

    Rachael Pearson
