Hello and Welcome to 4th Grade!

    Dear Fourth Grade Families,

I am so excited to start this school year at Esperanza! My name is Krista Jarrad and I will be your child’s fourth grade teacher this year!

I was born in El Paso, Texas but raised in Tucson and moved to Phoenix in 2014. I attended the University of Arizona, where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I also graduated from Grand Canyon University with my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. This will be my 7th year teaching and my 5th year at Esperanza. I have taught 3rd and 4th grades.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I have a love for learning and I hope that my students will also learn to love learning as much as I do. By making my classroom a safe, fun and disciplined environment for my students, I hope that they will enjoy coming to school and learning something new every day. I plan to give my students not only an education, but a passion to learn. I know that you will also play a great role in their education, which means showing interest and offering support for your child. I hope that we will be able to work together to have a happy and successful year!

I believe that a successful school year starts with an open communication line between, parents, students, and teachers. Please feel free to call or email me anytime you have a concern.

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. Krista Jarrad
